At St Maria Goretti School we believe that a purposeful and challenging curriculum results in students and staff who are active, confident and inquisitive learners. As a Catholic school community, we educate our students to live the Gospel of Jesus as active and informed learners, empowered to share and enrich our world. We are committed to building a culture where learning and teaching is visible, explicit and responsive in order to create the very best opportunities for equity and excellence for all students.
Our curriculum is organised around the Key Learning Areas nominated by the National (Australian) Curriculum. It is enhanced by other programs to make the learning experience meaningful, stimulating and linked to other knowledge, attitudes and skills.
St Maria Goretti currently has three classrooms - P/1, 2/3/4, and 5/6. Class structures are established each year depending on the numbers of students in each year level. Class groups are structured in a variety of ways in order to best meet the needs of our students.
