All phases of schooling at St Maria Goretti are underpinned by the Toowoomba Catholic Schools’ Teaching & Learning Framework and The Alice Springs (Mparntwe) Declaration (2019). The Alice Springs (Mparntwe-pronounced as 'M-ban-tua') Education Declaration sets the national vision for education for all Australians and notes two goals:
1. The Australian education system promotes excellence and equity.
2. All young Australians become:
To empower each individual to realise their full potential through living out the school's motto Let Your Light Shine.
At St Maria Goretti School we commit ourselves to being an inclusive learning community that adds life-long value to every student. We do this within the tradition of the Sisters of St Joseph, founded by Mary MacKillop, where Christian values are a lived experience.
Faith, Hope, Service, Respect and Kindness guide our thoughts, words and actions.
At St Maria Goretti School our learners are Curious, Engaged, Reflective, Collaborative and Persistent in all pursuits.
